The use of this drug is not recommended for patients with severe hepatic impairment because the pharmacokinetic disposition of this drug has not been assessed in patients with severe hepatic impairment.

"We are aware of no evidence that would suggest that any prescription medications have been linked to sexual dysfunction in menopause," the agency said in a statement. "We are aware of no evidence that would suggest that any prescription medications have been linked to an increased risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease, a potentially fatal brain disorder that could cause death."
The drugs, which include the generic drug Viagra, are used to treat erectile dysfunction in men and premature ejaculation in women. They work by increasing blood flow to the penis to help men ejaculate. However, those effects may be temporary and will typically wear off within a few months, according to the FDA.
